Hello. When I am setting up the SQL server writer, the job failed with an error stating that "Error Output: . Errors: #@ Row 196, Column 12: String data, right truncation @". Can someone please provide some guidance? Thanks.

Where am I?

you're trying to write a string into a column, which is longer than its max allowed size. The message String data, right truncation... says, that this string would be truncated.

There are two solutions:

  1. You either shorten the string length in transformation.
  2. You set up longer column length for the destination table.
